This was just yesterday in Venice beach. I love it there- no matter what time of year!
I realized one thing, and also have been hearing this a lot lately from friends. That they're having skin problems right now, because the weather is a bit dryer in these "colder" months, if you will. I have a solution. I know it's winter time, and your not worried about eating properly I'm sure, since you don't have to be in a bikini in front of all your friends or family. But I don't care. I stay the same no matter what season. I always eat the same way- and have a few indulgences sometimes, sure. But once in a while. Main focus is- your skin. Thats always something I make sure I take care of. And there some prime subjects that make your skin at it's worst, believe me.
So, were gonna fix it! I'm going to tell you what you need to steer clear of. And then tell you what you need to get more of in exchange! What your skin is lacking and needs for that glowing beautiful skin I know you have is :
Biotin
Niacin
Omega 3 fatty acids
Zinc
Vitamin A
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Plant Polyphenols
Antioxidant - Beta Carotene
First of all. One thing- and the main, BEST source you could get would be WATER. Water is absolutely the best for you to clear skin. Put down juice and soda. (even diet and natural juices are not good for your skin. There is to much sugar and caffeine in both, and clog up your skins pores.) Heres an example, Eva Mendes drinks 1 gallon of water in a whole day to keep her skin clear. It's easy to drink lots of water. So you need to get on it! Go!
Foods you really need to eat : Avocados, Blueberries, Strawberries, Raspberries, Salmon, Walnuts, whole wheat and grains, sunflower seeds, almonds, squash, sweet potatoes, spinach, Broccoli, red peppers, Oranges.
Warning! Warning!
Avoid these for the clear skin you wish to see on your face.
One again I tell you to avoid this- but DAIRY. yes Dairy, That good ole Moo Cow...isn't so good for your skin either.(as well as other things, ahem- your immune system. Thats a different story for a different day)
White bread, white rice, white anything thats a carb! (Already you should not be eating this. You need to switch everything you eat thats a carb to brown, 100% whole wheat pasta, bread, e v e r y t h i n g.)
Refined Sugar. (Types of sweet that are ok would be agave syrup and dark chocolate over 70% cacao.)
Ok, I hope this was helpful. If you have any questions or would like to have a 1 day menu made out for you of what a diet would like for you, let me know. I'd create one for you :)
Enjoy your day! Be good to your skin.
