Let the count down begin...
So the time is near... It's soon to be 2012!
Everyone is gearing up for the New Years Eve night. Which is always a huge- crazy party for most. I've never not liked New Years Eve, it's always been a great night. I keep it safe- always, as you should.
BUT, a friend this year told me about how she feels about what she choose to do on NYE. She said she didn't like the thought of bringing in the new year drunk. And something just hit me. She made so much sense! I've always just thought of NYE as a party. But it is the night before the new year- and I would like to bring it in the right way.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm a huge advocate of not doing waiting to start something on "monday". Just cause it's the start of the week. If you have the urge and want- to think it up right then that you want to do it. Do it! Don't wait till you finish the box of cookies in your cabinet. The problem with your thinking is that you'll never get a chance to eat them again. Those cookies will always be there- they'll always be where you bought them too. If you change your mind to think that way, I assure you- you will worry less.
And those cookies will become meaningless to you.
So with that being said- yes, I know I am starting this 'year' off with a good start. I feel like if I train myself for 31 days- of a certain habit and routine- then I will be set in for the whole rest of the year of good habits I taught myself in January. It only takes 21 days to form a habit. So 21 of my 31 I hope will stick with me for the rest of the year.
I decided I'd try a Detox diet. And rid my body of toxins I've developed from 2011, and cleanse my self for this coming year. So I hope you like my outline of what this diet entails, and try it along with me. So far I have 2 other people joined in and going to do it along side of me. Even if it isn't this specific diet- You should try whatever suits you and takes you out of your element. But to be honest- you really should try to take these things out of your life in little ways at a time. Dairy isn't good for humans to have on a regular basis, neither is meat. So if you try at least this coming year to decrease the amount that you eat, that already is a great goal!
Therefore- in conclusion, my New Years Resolution isn't to have one- it's to just do it.
