Sometimes things happen to you in your life that finally make you see the whole picture. The whole everything. Sometimes it takes way to long to ever see this- sometimes it never does. But sometimes if your lucky, and it does come up and hit you in the face as hard as it possibly can, you wake up.
and thats where I come in.

I'm Krysten. and hopefully your new friend, health coach, advicee, your blog leader.- soon enough. whatever I maybe to you- please just continue to read, and continue to follow my blog and check back with updated information, etc. This particular blog post is dedicated to my mom... and her health destiny. And it's also to all of you. and all of your health destinies.
sometimes things happen in your life- and to change what already is, you have to go extreme, you have to go huge. Cause if you've been eating the same way for 40+ years, your body is that now. It knows only that and is slowly sinking further and further into the worse possible place of your health. What I mean by this is- this isn't completely directed to younger people, if younger people are reading. BUT. at the same time- you should listen up as well. Cause the importance of being young- is preventing things from happening when you become older.
So if you are older, this is for you. Because you need to do the EXTREME if you are in bad health. to reverse what is to something else.And a good something else.
1st thing is first- I never said this would be easy, and yes, it will be hard in the beginning. But this is worth it. I cant stress it enough- if you have a life threatening illness, would you not want to try everything you possibly could to make that go away, and you be a better person and feel great. Cause that can be you. You just have to imagine it. See yourself there. And you will be there. You need to be positive and open minded, and again, remain positive.
Recipes are easy- and you can start being creative on your own.
Don't worry about protein- whole grains and also beans and legumes have lots of protein in them, especially if you pair them together in a dish. As well as I've mentioned before quinoa (keen-wa) is a protein all on its own. There are also nuts.
Sample day:
Breakfast:
Banana & almond butter smoothie
Lunch:
Veggie burger with side of veggies or
avocado salad
Dinner:
Tofu stir fry
Dessert: blueberry sorbet or 2 pc. dark chocolate

tips:
instead of using olive oil spray, use water
instead of baking things in oil- use veg. broth
Here is a recipe I tried from the engine 2 diet, although I did alter it some to make it my own way. which is spicy of course ;)
Spicy Brown Rice & Lentil Burgers.
lentils - 1/2 cup

brown rice - 1 cup
|
garlic (clove) - 3-4 cloves
|
red onion - 1/2 onion
|
red bell pepper - 1
|
sea salt - 2 teaspoon
|
chili powder - 2 teaspoon
2/3 cup whole wheat bread crumbs 1 1/2 cups oats |
