It started with a 3 day off weekend. Yes Mon-Wed. So indeed, work was torture today. After having such a nice 3 day week
Sheesh. Somehow I got finished with it all- before he got home from work, too. Thats pretty impressive on my behalf. Oh and I made a video- of me singing to him. Yeah, I really did do a blow out valentines this year- and let me tell you, it was worth it. This was the best Valentine's Day I've ever had. Hands down.
We started off our day Tuesday getting lattes at our favorite coffee spot, Urth cafe. It's a great restaurant. They pretty much have the best all around latte. You really should go- but dine in and drink it there. They always make beautiful art on your latte foam. And you always get this nice big glass mug. It's a cozy place with really awesome delicious food. healthy too ;) of course.
From there- he took me to the surprise part of the day. "The Hike". I was a little worried- I'm not gonna lie. I'm not the best worker outer there is in all the town, thats for sure. But this was a gorgeous scenic trail. All the way to the top of the hill- above the Hollywood sign. It was so nice. So nice. The weather was perfect- I didn't even realize the hardness of the trail at all- if there was any. Because it was so awesome once you get to the top. The walk down was so steep- we ran half way- and I never stopped. I was very proud of myself. I know I'm getting better at running- which makes me happy.

we did it! |
Unfortunately I was so excited when we got our appetizer which seriously was the best part .... we got the not-chos. They were soooo good. Thankfully I did take a picture of our actual meal we shared. The cornmeal crust pizza. cornmeal crust sold me with just those words. It usually does with anything. I'm a sucker for it for sure. We also were drinking the Kale N' Cuke Lemonade the whole time. Very refreshing after our hike- or any day for that matter I'm sure. It was so good I drank it way too fast, and probably way too much. They give free refills. :o
this pic really doesn't do the taste justice.
There was so much flavor in the pizza. like every bite. everywhere. It seriously was perfect.
So thankful he chose this place to take me. It was so so good. If your ever in the L.a. area- you must try Real Food Daily! They have 2 locations, one in Santa Monica and then also in Hollywood.
<3
After that we went home and rested- but then we remembered- we had one more thing planned, besides dinner. the sunset! we made it just in time.
