Summer Detox


So I was unsure how to go about doing this, to be honest. with the help of many sources I have come to a conclusion. I now have my detox planned out and ready to go! I've been feeling very cluttered, in life. Our apartment, my car, I get pretty dirty at work, making smoothies and such. :/ So when I got home yesterday, I just had had it. I cleaned EVERYTHING. Which I'm very happy about now, to be sitting this morning in a very clean space. But I'm not finished-- I feel as though the inside of me is blurry right now, and I want to feel refreshed. Yes I know I eat healthy, I do indeed. But thats not to say I don't drink coffee daily, or have wine and eat late, etc. These habits truly take a toll on your body, internally. And thats the most important part. I haven't felt that I've been living up to how healthy I am as a person, when I don't feel it sometimes. And I've been very confused about that. But these toxins in our bodies need to be cleaned sometimes. So going forward, I am doing this. I have read it's good to do a detox 7 days every month, or 3 days every other week. For now, I'm doing 7 days! We'll see about the rest of it after. ;)

Starting off your day. drink a glass of water.
-Consume only liquid or raw fruits and veggies until noon daily.
-Drink lots of water, at least half your body weight in ounces or more. ( I say a gallon if you can)
-For lunch/ afternoon, have up to 2 cups of whole grains, and seeds or nuts (1/2 cup).
-80% should be raw food and 20% should be cooked beans and whole grains
-Avoid (all meat and dairy) gluten, soy, lemon, sugar, caffeine and alcohol.

yes, from one coffee drinker to the other, this will be hard.
But my goals have the hierarchy, and I do want to feel better, so I will do something to try and achieve that.

-what a rough draft of a plan could look like for you....
morning- glass of water
breakfast - green smoothie, banana, kale, protein powder, berries.
snacks- raw fruit and veggies or green juice
lunch -salad with nuts topped with 1 cup of grain or beans, (preferably quinoa :) any veggies
snacks- raw fruit and veggies , green juice
dinner- 1/2 cup beans or lentils, 1/2 cup grain, lots of veggies!

and wattteeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr.

-take a multivitamin especially b12.
