here it is guys.
1 can of navy beans
1 bunch of cilantro
2 serrano peppers
1 red jalapeno
2 tbsp of garlic tahini ;)
1 tsp sea salt
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp lemon juice
(you can adjust lemon and salt to taste)
I won't lie though- the garlic tahini recipe came from none other than the great Cafe Gratitude. I was reading over their menu while I was there the other night- and some of their menu items, [some, I said] seem very simple and reasonable to make. Plus their balanced and very healthy and seem quite tasty. Like their very famous, "I am grateful" bowl, which is extremely awesome- cause it's based off donation. You seriously can pay how ever much you have. A waitress told me, one time a person paid 50 cents for it. Wow. How great is that place, for doing that. She said the purpose of it is not only for the financial reasonings, but also to make it inexpensive for someone to get an all organic vegan healthy meal.
anyway- the bowl consists of black beans, quinoa, steamed kale, and this all mighty "garlic tahini sauce". Which I have made people. and it is seriously delicious. Like seriously.
I soaked 1 cup of sesame seeds for one hour.
-then drained them.
Food process the sesame seeds with 1/2 cup of water.
- then I added
6 garlic cloves
1 tbsp salt
4 tbsp olive oil
1/2 c lemon juice
1 tsp parsley
and there ya have it. Sooooo good. Can't wait to mix this with my I truly am grateful bowl.
