Gotta Share the Love--

aka food. Food is love. Hm- perhaps That should be my blog name?, what do you think? We'll see.
Any who- Hope this blog post finds you well.
I'm currently happy- having just ate- and also spent a very nice day at the pool with a friend. Sunshine, swimming, and frozen grapes. Love it. Not to mention I just picked out a reward gift card, from my bank, for Starbucks. Thats exciting. Free drinks are always a good thing!

I was so happy to see last night on the tv at work, they were airing "The Last Heart Attack". The segment about Bill Clinton and this one doctor who believes in making people heart attack proof, not by medicine, but by food. ah Ha! I told you so- to everyone who ever thought I was crazy. Thin or fat- I don't care- if you eat badly, you will eventually get sick from that. again, think or thick. Believe me. So- it says to eliminate basically meat, dairy... and refined anything- basically you'd be having a vegan diet- but also leaving bad sugar behind. Honestly- the way I eat already! (well, sometimes.) I like meat sometimes! (sorry.)
But regardless- food- is medicine. It'll help you through anything- and if you have cancer, a 'gang' of times, (that one is for my sister and her boyfriend ;) they put you on a vegan diet- to prolong if not, save, your life.

If that doesn't tell you something- then I'm sorry for you. - I wish I could give this gift to everyone- to know and learn and try and feel for themselves. I'm sure you'd feel 50% better than you do right now. This is my way of life- this isn't something new to me. I changed my life maybe 2 years ago- I'm not really sure when it exactly happened or how. Or even what- but thankfully through a myriad of experiences and readings- and googling... I decided to do it. Not for weight loss-cause I've been the same weight for almost 6 years. But I used to eat terribly. Terribly. I can't explain to you how terrible. To me when I think back on how I thought, and what I thought was okay and normal- is INSANE to me. I never cared then- I'm a Georgia girl, everyone eats their fried chicken and don't complain about it! But where I live now- thankful for it- cause it changed my life. I weighed 160 when I was in high school- who knows how much further that could've led to- now, I am a normal 140. and I feel good- which is honestly the most important part of it all. I used to feel tired, and like certain parts of me were so hot- tired from eating? possibly. Too much sugar- too much grease. I was on a terrible path- and only 18. But about 18 when I finally started to try and get better. California was a turning point, and I gotta thank my brother and Anna for showing me what brown rice was. They definitely were my first influence. So thank ya'll.

Otherwise- this other business- was just strait me, seeking an answer- something about health, has always intrigued me. So what am I doing? trying to become an entertainer- when my heart is in health? Can't really say I can answer that one. But who knows where life will lead you. I have a dream of one day opening my own cafe- and it being a very healthy one, and having healthy baked goods- just like when I worked at Mani's bakery. They had sugar free baked goods- for diabetics, but no, not the kind sweetened with splenda. This is natural- with fruit juice or other natural sweeteners. I loved the place. it's gone now- but someday I hope to remake something similar.

Now on to this food! Lets see- focusing in on random dinners.

Once you make a pot of brown rice- which I did- you basically can do whatever with it :) and keep it throughout the week- (mine is still in there :/) But as I was saying- add any sauce to it- veggie- protein, however you like it. It's nice to have it in there for a fast natural meal. I added my avocado creamy sauce to it. made it taste so good.

Also one night- me and my boyfriend went to an awesome thai restaurant that he introduced me to, that I really like. Well I really have only had this one dish- but needless to say I love it- so many flavors and so spicy, and vegan- if you get the tofu ;). So I decided to make my own rendition of it the following night- and it tasted pretty good!

First sautee bell peppers with onions and garlic

Cut Tofu into cubes and also sautee in pan

add the brown rice and also mint and basil

then add the tofu and you're done! enjoy ;)
